Guatemala food and drinks are primarily influenced by mayan and spanish cultures. The country does not have a national dish but it is often eaten mayan tortilla,black beans normally accompanied with rice by visiting the tropical country make sure to taste a traditional dish at local “comedores” or at markets. Meats are often served in stews like jocón, pepián, Kak-Ik. Coffee is considere one of the best in the world so make sure to taste a good cup at the morning while enjoying volcano views. Locals are often very friendly so if you are lucky you can learn spanish words with them.
